Why Did Avro Canada Abandon Its C102 Jetliner Project?

Today, Canada retains one of the world’s most significant aerospace industries (notably with Pratt & Whitney Canada , Bombardier, Airbus Canada, and others). But in the 1940s and 1950s, Canada held promise to be so much more. One of the so-close-and-yet-so-far projects that could have catapulted the Canadian aviation industry to the next level was the Avro Canada C102 Jetliner.
