Unite the Union, a key force in the United Kingdom’s Labour Party with a significant aerospace membership, issued a January 20, 2025 statement urging the Minister of Defence to pick the Eurofighter Typhoon over the Lockheed Martin F-35 for a buy of 24 additional fighter jets for the Royal Air Force. However, the Eurofighter Typhoon lacks many of the technologies and production run of the Lockheed Martin F-35.
