The craze surrounding mystery drones flying over military bases and around airports may be ebbing now. But what is the story behind the media sensation? Mystery drones flying over US airbases have been happening for some time and are not limited to the United States. In December 2024, Ohio’s Wright-Patterson Air Force Base even had to close its airspace briefly due to drones flying over the base.
