New USAF B-52J Upgrades: What They Mean for Long-Range Missions

The B-52 Superfortress is an enigma. It seems to be the closest thing to an immortal military aircraft (the earliest stages of its development date before the Air Force to the Army Air Force). These ancient bombers are set to be upgraded to the B-52J variant (although the program has been delayed). Delays mean the B-52J is not expected to enter service until 2033.
