Marlon Green became the first African American pilot to work for a major airline (Continental Airlines) after he won a discrimination case before the Supreme Court in 1963. Ten years later, Emily Howell Warner became an airline pilot for Frontier Airlines. Although the Civil Rights Act was introduced in 1964 and ended discrimination (albeit merely constitutionally), various reports posit that forms of prejudice have long remained.
