The House and Senate have finally released their compromise draft of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which includes a topline total of $895.2 billion (only a portion of that is for the United States Air Force). The bill authorizes $849.9 billion for the Department of Defense and another $33.3 billion for national security programs in the Department of Energy and the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board. The Air Force will also be able to move forward with the purchase of some of its planned aircraft procurements.
