In recent reporting by investigative journalism firm Hunterbrook, supported by The Air Current and Military.com reporting, Universal Stainless’ failure to provide quality gears for V-22 Osprey parts cost the lives of at least eight United States Air Force service members. For a military transport in the V-22 that relies on gears to operate correctly and on contractors and subcontractors to have the highest integrity many systems failed Americas servicemembers and military families, with concerns other public servants and their families are also at risk.
