US Air Force Chiefs Explain Why Alaska Is A ‘Hotbed For Great Power Competition’

As the United States finds itself in a new era of Great Power Competition, the Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) is becoming ever more important. One of PACAF’s major airbases is the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson base in Alaska, which is becoming a hotbed of that competition. The Joint Base Elemendorf-Richardson base is the largest US military installation in Alaska and was recently visited by high-ranking Air Force officials.
