The F-111 Aardvark family of strike-fighters was a controversial weapons platform from birth to retirement. Although her swing wings have not been incorporated into expected fifth-generation and sixth-generation fighter jets many of the F-111s other pioneering systems have continued on in future generations of combat aircraft.
