Beechcraft was originally founded in 1932. The company was founded by Walter Beech, his wife, Olive Ann Beech, and the legendary aviation designer, Ted A. Wells, among others. Since then, Beechcraft has become one of the biggest general aviation aircraft manufacturers in the world. It is often considered to be one of the “Big Three” of the general aviation aircraft manufacturers, alongside Cessna and Piper Aircraft.
