US Air Force Looks To Geo-Thermal Energy To Make Air Bases More Sustainable

The United States Air Force as awarded its first contract to determine to develop a demonstration project in Texas to see if geopressured geothermal systems (GGS) can generate clean energy needed to power the Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland base. Elsewhere, air forces in Europe are working to reduce their carbon emissions (partly by using sustainable fuels), and the RAF plans to become the first net-zero air force by 2040.
