Bangladesh’s internet is back online as PM flees the country

All broadband services in Bangladesh were restored on Monday following a complete shutdown ordered by the government on Sunday – the second in less than a month – as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled the country.

Regulators in Malaysia and Indonesia announced separately over the weekend that they have temporarily restricted access to X’s AI tool Grok over its ability to generate and distribute non-consensual deepfake pornographic images of women and children.
