Travellers wishing to cycle through the Lake District can now hire e-bikes when they get there with the opening of a pick-up service from Penrith station.
As part of Southeastern’s efforts to make it easier for customers to cycle to stations, it has opened a new secure cycle hub at Swanley station in Kent.
Buckinghamshire Council has secured funding to improve the trackbed of a former railway line so that it is suitable as a walking, wheeling, and cycling cross-town link in Buckingham.
