The UK military port of Marchwood, on the River Test, opposite the civilian terminals at Southampton, has dispatched a cargo of operational equipment and supplies on behalf of the British Army.

Peel Ports Group, the second largest port operator in the UK, is investing £10m (US$13.5m) in Heysham Port, on the Irish Sea coast, north of Liverpool. The operator says the project will further increase capacity and efficiency at the port.
Peel Ports is investing £30m in a new Ro-Ro berth at London Medway, just 80km from central London. It follows new freight services announced in September.

CLdN continues to expand its ro-ro services around the British Isles. The company has announced the start of a multimillion-pound investment in its Brocklebank terminal at the Port of Liverpool.
