On Thursday, August 1st, Wheels Up revealed it was celebrating its eleventh anniversary of the day it was founded. Wheels Up was first founded in 2013 by Kenny Dichter, a serial entrepreneur. Since then, the company has grown to be one of the biggest business jet charter companies in the world. In 2023, Private Jet Card Comparisons reported that it was the fourth-largest private jet operator in the United States. Last year, it trailed only NetJets, Flexjet, and Vista Global. The company saw a decrease in flight hours year-over-year, but was still able to record over 127,000 total flight hours in 2023. Wheels Up retained a 2.4% market share in total hours in the United States.
