In another ruling against state aid in the European Union (EU), the General Court of the European Union (EU), known as the General Court, said that the Dutch government’s aid to KLM was illegal. In 2020, the Netherlands granted KLM €3.4 billion ($3.6 billion) in the form of a state-guaranteed bank loan and a state loan.
