On-time performance across all major airlines is still lagging behind long-term averages, with 76.8 per cent of flights arriving on time in June, 77.8 per cent departing on time, and 2.5 per cent cancelled.
The project has secured $760,000 in Queensland Government funding and aims to start construction in 2026. It will use LanzaJet’s Alcohol-to-Jet (ATJ) technology to create ethanol-based fuel, with the expectation of 102 million litres of SAF per year.
The ballot, which closes on 5 July, comes after a proposed enterprise agreement by Ampol was knocked back 64 votes to five.
