Opening Soon: A Brief Guide To Navi Mumbai International Airport

India is one of the world’s fastest-growing aviation markets – just last year, IndiGo (India’s largest airline) placed a world-breaking order for 500 aircraft. Mumbai is a megacity of around 12 million (or as much as 20 million in the greater area) and is regarded as the financial capital of India. Mumbai’s existing airport ( Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, BOM) is at capacity while the city’s air traffic is expected to grow massively in the future. To meet this demand, India is building the massive Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) in the city’s western half.
