The race to be the launch customer of the Boeing 737 MAX 10 is becoming less about Boeing and more about software compatibility, regulatory sequencing, and which airline can move fastest once the FAA finally signs off on the aircraft. Alaska Airlines has been the loudest carrier when discussing its timeline, with the carrier’s Chief Operating Officer, Jason Berry, saying that certification was expected by the end of September 2026, followed by an entry into passenger service between April and mid-May.
