2026 has been a difficult year for aviation, with airlines of all shapes and sizes around the world coming to terms with fuel price hikes and fluctuations in demand that are often tied to the ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. With this in mind, some route churn has been inevitable, and even major airlines like Air Canada have not been exempt: the flag carrier has cut 14 routes this year.
