Assistant Trade Minister Tim Ayres says the Albanese government’s national rail manufacturing plan is “all about making sure” they have got a “consistent approach”.
“This procurement pipeline means that it enhances the premium for all of the states to work together in concert with the federal government,” Mr Ayres told Sky News Australia.
“So that major tenderers and smaller medium enterprises in the manufacturing supply chain can see the work there and make investment decisions on that basis.”
