It’s long been known that flight attendants in the US don’t get paid until the aircraft pushes back from the stand, and this has been a grievance for them for many years. This essentially means that they have not been paid for duties such as safety equipment and security checks, checking the catering, and boarding the passengers. However, in recent years, this has finally been addressed, and some airlines are changing their contracts accordingly.
