Comments invited for major changes to Birmingham’s railways

An eight-week consultation has opened into proposals by the Midlands Rail Hub Alliance for a major upgrade to railways around Birmingham.

West Midlands Railway (WMR) has appointed Betty the cat to the role of Junior Mouse Catcher at Sutton Coldfield station.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Birmingham pub bombings, a memorial service was held at Birmingham New Street station yesterday, 21st November.

Track upgrade works are to affect trains between Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury until mid March.
