The Davis-Monthan Air Force Base (aka The Boneyard) in Tucson, Arizona is perhaps the most famous of the world’s aircraft boneyards and home to the world’s greatest collection of stored military aircraft. The 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG) is responsible for the storage of almost 3,200 aircraft and over 6,300 engines from the Department of Defense.
