Billboard Trucks Target Victorian Premier with ‘Ditch the Witch’ Slogan

A blue banner beneath reads 'PRIME MINISTER,' and a Nine News logo appears in the corner; a poster with a woman's face is visible in the background.

The six-week mobile ad campaign, funded partly by brothel owner Franco Puleo and local businesses for $105,000, criticises Allan’s leadership amid Victoria’s $199 billion debt and rising crime ahead of the November 28 election.

Allan called the ads sexist and corrosive, drawing support from Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, former PM Julia Gillard, and cross-party figures who condemned them as unacceptable personal attacks.

While Puleo sees it as reflecting public frustration, critics like One Nation’s Pauline Hanson dismissed complaints, and the controversy highlights ongoing debates over sexism, policy critiques, and respectful politics.
