Negotiations for the FY 2027 budget have begun, and the White House has requested an enormous $1.5 trillion budget. The budget is around 42% larger than in FY 2026 and includes $1.15 trillion in the base request, with the remaining $350 billion to be taken up separately through a reconciliation package later on in the year. However, the funding is far from certain, and it remains to be seen whether all these aircraft will be funded.
