According to ch-Aviation, Abu Dhabi-based Maximus Air may be looking to acquire several Antonov 178 twinjet freighters. The firm order is expected to be made later in January or early February. If these rumors materialize, Maximus would be the launch carrier for the relatively new type. Azerbaijan's Silk Way Airlines was to be the launch customer but canceled in 2018. The Peruvian Air Force was next in line but canceled its order in 2020.
