Alaska Airlines CEO Ben Minicucci has suggested the airline industry’s recent fuel-related fare increases are here to stay, even if fuel prices eventually drop back to normal. Alaska’s fares have gone up by an average of 15% since the outbreak of the 2026 Iran Crisis, and are likely to remain elevated for the foreseeable future.
