The convicted rapist employed by Pauline Hanson’s party needs a police check before he is allowed unescorted into the One Nation leader’s office in Parliament House in Canberra, officials have confirmed.
Sean Black was jailed for five years – suspended after 27 months – in 2018 after he was found guilty by a jury of raping and violently assaulting a woman with whom he had been in a relationship.
At the time of his imprisonment, Mr Black was working for One Nation senator Malcolm Roberts.
He was rehired by the party on his release from jail and now works in One Nation’s national headquarters near the Brisbane airport in a senior role that Senator Hanson has refused to publicly describe.”
