Victorian Treasurer, Tim Pallas has defended the cost of the Suburban Rail Loop, telling Tom Elliott, if he asks silly questions, “he’ll get silly answers”.
He denies the reported cost of the loop will be $216 billion, claiming the first stage will cost between $30-34 billion dollars.
“We do things in stages … as a government we remain committed to build it,” he said.
