Palestinian Activist Calls Australia Settler Colony at Melbourne Rally

On February 1, Palestinian Australian academic Tasnim Sammak spoke at the event, linking solidarity with Palestine to the idea that ‘the colony will fall,’ a phrase tied to past pro-Palestine and Indigenous protests.

The video, shared by Drew Pavlou, drew sharp divides: critics demanded her deportation as anti-Australian, while defenders saw it as metaphorical resistance.

Islamist extremist agitator Tansim Sammak in Melbourne: “Australia is a settler colony and when we gather in solidarity with Palestine we say that the colony will fall.” In Singapore they would immediately deport her for calling for the overthrow of the state.

Australian law protects such political speech unless it urges violence, with no police action reported amid ongoing debates over hate speech limits.
