Kent railway reintroduces Elm Trees to the British countryside

The Kent & East Sussex Railway is reintroducing Elm trees to the British countryside after their disappearance in the 1970s due to Dutch Elm Disease.

Kent heritage railway’s gala a big success

The Kent and East Sussex Railway saw its highest post-pandemic gala visitor numbers.

Volunteers from the Kent & East Sussex Railway are to take part in a challenge to raise funds towards the restoration of Pannier Tank No. 1638.

They carried out improvements to a station master’s house and cleaned train carriage windows.
