The largest air hub in the Netherlands,Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS), has been in the news for all the wrong reasons since the start of the new year, with adverse weather causing thousands of cancellations in the first few days of 2026. However, despite this disruption, no one can dispute the significance of Schiphol as an intercontinental hub, with KLM and other carriers linking the Dutch capital city to all corners of the globe.
