ABC’s Bondi coverage slammed as ‘malicious, incompetent’

Former ABC board member Joe Gersh said the public broadcaster’s defence of the controversial elements of its post-Bondi coverage reflected poorly on the organisation’s leaders, specifically Hugh Marks and Kim Williams.

In one such reporting incident, Sarah Ferguson, from the Australian ABC, questioned whether Josh Frydenburg‘s call for Anthony Albanese to take stronger action on anti-Semitism was politically motivated.

“I’m deeply offended by what you just said. Deeply offended,” Mr Frydenberg said in response to the ABC host. “That is an insult to say there is any political motivation in this.”
