Police in Providence, Rhode Island, are searching for at least one suspect after reports of multiple people shot near Brown University’s Barus and Holley Engineering building.
Victims were transported to hospitals, with an AP source reporting at least two killed and several injured; early unconfirmed scanner reports mentioned up to 20.

The campus locked down with FBI assistance, and a brief alert about a suspect in custody was quickly reversed.
Officials including President Trump and Governor McKee offered support as sweeps continue.
