Escape to the heart of Harcourt in Central Victoria and visit this charming attraction. It took over a decade for a hobby club to bring this dream to life, and is run by a group of passionate volunteers.

Head to the station, which is modelled after the train station in Maryborough, and purchase your ticket from the station booth. For the sake of authenticity, pre-purchased tickets are not available.

Then, hop aboard and take in views of Mount Alexander, creek frontage and mature trees. If you’ve timed it right, you’ll even see real trains from Melbourne to Bendigo pass by. No pets are permitted on the train, except for service dogs.

A picnic area is currently under construction, but in the meantime, you can explore the town of Harcourt, which is known for its apple cider. It’s also a 10 minute drive away from Castlemaine, and 30 minutes away from Bendigo.
