In March 2024, a 14-year-old girl at Renmark High School attended an hour-long talk by Headspace Berri on LGBTQIA+ inclusivity, part of the Respectful Relationships program.
The session included slides with terms like bestiality—explained as sex with animals—and references to sibling sex, shown to an unsupervised group of Year 9 girls without parents’ knowledge or opt-out choice.

Nicki Gaylard, mother of six, withdrew her children from the school that day; they now attend Catholic school or are homeschooled.
Backed by Alliance Defending Freedom, she aims to file in District Court, as the school apologised for inappropriate material but the education department maintains no such content was taught.
