Spanish flag carrier Iberia will be doubling down on Airbus A321XLR services across the Atlantic, with the airline preparing to add a new daily route from its hub at Madrid Barajas Airport (MAD) to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) starting on March 29, 2026. This is set to complement a pair of daily Madrid to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) services, which ultimately turn the New York area into a market that will be served three times per day by the carrier.
