The Boeing 2707 was a supersonic passenger airliner mockup designed and developed by Boeing in the 1960s. The large supersonic transport (SST) aircraft was designed to carry 250-300 passengers with targeted speeds of approximately Mach 3.0. The Boeing 2707 was considered superior to the competition, including the Concorde.

In some countries, turboprop aircraft are commonplace. However, in the US, they seem to be far less common these days. Sure, there are a handful of US carriers out there operating turboprops. But, overall, have such aircraft not proved popular in this part of the world? Particularly as they have seen relative commercial success in other regions?
