Aviation analysts have focused on Southeast Asia for the last eighteen months and questioned why it was so far behind the rest of the world in its post-COVID recovery. For the popular tourist destinations, the extended lockdowns in China, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea answered that question as they kept international visitors away, but the real key is the domestic recovery.
