Australia’s squad for first ashes test in Perth announced

Cricket Australia has announced the squad for the first ashes test in Perth later this month. Pleasing is the dropping of Sam Konstas a very overrated player who on several occasions proved he was not test material at the highest level.

Why would you play Sean Abbott and not Mitch Marsh?

A little bizarre the side but plenty of options for the captain (Smith the Cheat) for the first test. Go Australia.

Chair of Selectors George Bailey: “The squad gives us good balance and, with 14 of those chosen playing the next round of Sheffield Shield, we will continue to gather information as we move closer to the start of the first Test.”
