Government releases new design concepts for SRL East

New design concepts have been released for Suburban Rail Loop east project. These include the Burwood, Box Hill and Glen Waverley Stations.

The Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) is a planned 90-kilometer underground rail project in Melbourne designed to connect suburban areas and reduce travel times by linking every major train line from the Frankston line to the Werribee line.

It will provide new links between suburbs without requiring travel through the CBD, connecting major employment, education, and health precincts.

The first stage, SRL East, is under construction and is expected to be completed by 2035.
