The fit-for-purpose facilities and infrastructure to support the introduction into service of the MQ-4C Triton aircraft system is being delivered under the Department of Defence’s AIR7000 Phase 1B Project.
According to Virgin, the changes “deliver clearer guidelines with simplified baggage allowances and will help improve overhead space availability to reduce delays, enhance safety, and create a smoother travel experience for guests”.
Flight FJ971 touched down in Cairns at 11:43am on Tuesday aboard the 737 MAX 8 DQ-FAB, taking off again for Nadi as FJ970 shortly after 1pm. The new non-stop service, operating three times per week, is expected to add around 53,000 seats to the market.
