Tommy Robinson on Trial for Refusing Phone PIN Under UK Terrorism Act

Far-right activist Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, appeared in Westminster Magistrates’ Court on October 13, 2025, charged under Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000 for not providing his mobile phone PIN during a July 2024 detention at the Channel Tunnel in Folkestone.

Kent Police held him for six hours while questioning his activism and journalism, not terrorism, and seized cash he carried from a rally.

The judge adjourned the trial after testimony exposed procedural errors by officers and banned live-tweeting by independent media, while supporters protested outside the court.
