Three Killed in Shooting at Rhode Island High School Hockey Game

The shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. Monday at Dennis M. Lynch Arena during a game between Coventry-Johnston and St. Raphael-Providence co-op teams.

Police Chief Tina Goncalves called it a targeted event possibly tied to a family dispute; the suspected gunman died from a self-inflicted wound, with three others hospitalised in critical condition.

All players were accounted for safely, high school games statewide were suspended, and leaders like Governor Dan McKee offered mental health support while the FBI assists the ongoing investigation.
