Warner Bros. has announced a sequel to the successful ‘A Minecraft Movie,’ directed by Jared Hess and starring Jack Black, set for release on July 23, 2027.
The film will directly compete with Disney’s ‘The Simpsons Movie 2’ on the same date, marking 20 years since the original Simpsons film.
The first Minecraft movie grossed nearly $958 million worldwide in 2025 by blending live-action adventure with the game’s crafting and survival elements.
