On the morning of April 22nd, 2024, at least 20 people were arrested at Laurence G. Hanscom Field (BED), a small airport primarily used by general aviation aircraft that sees extremely limited commercial operations. The protestors, according to multiple reports, were affiliated with the Extinction Rebellion Boston, the New England branch of a large-scale environmental movement.
