Teens Arrested After Machete Chase in Stolen SUV Through Melbourne’s Bourke Street Mall

Victoria Police pursued a stolen white BMW X3 into Melbourne’s pedestrian-heavy Bourke Street Mall on Monday afternoon, where four youths emerged from the vehicle armed with machetes and fled into the Myer department store.

Officers surrounded the area and arrested multiple suspects at the scene, with no injuries reported.

This car was stolen by a group of teens armed with machetes. They drove it down Bourke Street mall at speed.

The incident occurred in the same location as the deadly 2017 vehicle attack that killed six people.

  1. I see one of the 4 youths involved in yesterday’s Bourke st Mall incident has been released on bail. I guess he probably has a few more offences to commit before he gets to the magic 50.
