David Monroe, the 72-year-old founder of the San Antonio Museum of Science and Technology (SAMSAT), tragically died Friday following a workplace accident at the Boeing Center at San Antonio’s Tech Port. San Antonio police said that a 5,000-pound jet engine was being moved at a loading dock when it tragically rolled, causing Monroe to fall off the dock just before the engine fell on him. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
