Engineers complete East Coast Digital Programme upgrades as further work planned for February

Network Rail teams have completed two weekends of upgrade work as part of the billion-pound East Coast Digital Programme (ECDP), with further work planned between London King’s Cross and Grantham in February.
East Midlands Railway (EMR) is warning passengers travelling on its Intercity route this weekend (Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 October) that rail replacement buses will run between East Midlands Parkway and Leicester due to bridge demolition work.

Network Rail has completed the third major stage of work to create Mid Cornwall Metro (MCM). As a result, trains have resumed running between Newquay and Par this morning.
